In addition to therapy and coaching, a key division of The Soke’s service offering lies within the assessment and diagnostic pathways, both for children and adults.

Parents seeking to determine the cognitive, emotional or educational support needs of their child can opt for comprehensive neurodevelopmental assessments that encapsulate diagnostic tests including ADHD, Autism, Speech & Language, Educational Psychology, Motor Performance and Paediatric Reviews. These (and others) can form part of a 360 assessment package or can be offered as individual tests, as per the needs of the child or the recommendation of their school or referring physician.

Ultimately, however minor or significant the intervention, The Soke makes it a priority to make the process as unobtrusive and as comfortable as possible, even more so when clients are children and adolescents.

  • ADI/3DI: Autism Diagnostic Interview with parents or carers

  • ADOS: Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule

  • Motor Performance: Control over coordinated movements/actions (eg: balance, walking, etc)

  • Multi-disciplinary Team Meeting: a consultation between clinicians with varied expertise

  • OT: Occupational Therapist (assessing and helping with the ability to carry out everyday tasks)
